www.cyrix.com
for Cyrix Corporation

I took over maintenance and development of the Cyrix corporate web site at the beginning of 1997. During this time, the site underwent four complete redesigns. The purpose for the site was fourfold — 1.) to drive brand awareness of Cyrix microprocessors, 2.) to provide technical support and design resources to consumers and design engineers, respectively. 3.) to provide company information to investors and the press, and 4.) to add valuable sales resources to the distributor and reseller sales channels.

I developed graphical elements, downloadable support documents and refreshed copy. The site was developed on a UNIX server nearly entirely in HTML. On occasion, I would add PERL script surveys and forms.

Cyrix was purchased by National Semiconductor and subsequently by VIA Technologies. The Cyrix web site ceased operation in 1999. Some of the content was incorporated in the VIA Technologies web site.

Cyrix is no longer in business.
