American Pad & Paper LLC manufactures and distributes nearly 1500 paper-based office products.

I was originally hired to lead the development of an ecommerce web site for their Ampad product division. The first phase of development resulted in a robust commerce-enabled web site in three months time. The original design was a rather artsy display emphasizing a new company logo and direction. As the dynamics of the company's business changed, so did the focus of the web site. The focus changed to building brand awareness, showcasing new products, product support for their Specialty Papers category of products and an online catalog. The site underwent a redesign in 2001 to give it a more consumer-friendly feel, the results of which are shown on this page. The site is completely data driven on the frontend by ASP technology and on the backend by SQL server.

I maintained content, created new graphics including product photography, as well as the addition of the consumer-friendly Project Center. I conducted several contests to encourage visitors to explore the product offerings on the site. I lead teams of developers to create web applications specifically designed to help customers print on the successful line of Specialty Papers. These applications were the first of their kind for this industry. The applications performed their usefullness and are no longer part of the site.
